History of Seneca Machine

Seneca Machine is a family-owned enterprise that has been in business since 1986. Owner Gary Feroz founded Seneca Machine and has guided its growth from a one-person, part-time operation to its present capacity servicing a multitude of customers throughout New England. He is a hands-on manager who continues to oversee all operations.
Seneca Machine had very humble beginnings. Gary initially purchased an engine lathe and machined transmission parts for a local machine shop from a friend’s garage in Farmington, N.H. After a year, Gary moved the shop into a building which he built on his property and added a lathe, a vertical mill, and a saw. In 1995, Gary relocated the shop to a property on South Main Street with a large barn and added his first CNC lathe. In 2000, Gary refurbished a 1,750 sq. ft. warehouse on South Main Street, which is the present location of Seneca Machine.
Over a 22-year period, Gary has guided Seneca Machine from a one-machine, part-time operation in a friend’s garage to a fully functioning facility with a large variety of machining capabilities. Since its inception, Seneca Machine has increased its machining capabilities, its capacity, and its workforce to 15 people and 20 spindles. Seneca Machine intends to remain a local, family-owned business that continues to follow Gary’s original vision of a quality machine shop, producing excellent products for a broad spectrum of industries.
